Recently I have been practicing gratitude in everyday life. Research has shown if you keep a gratitude journal for 30 days, you can increase your happiness by 25%. A lot of the time we are thinking about the things and opportunities that are lacking in our lives instead of appreciating all of our blessings. Practicing gratitude helps center the self in the present and brings perspective back into life.
This year has had it’s challenges, and I am most thankful for all the moments when life is a teaching lesson. I am grateful I can find the strength to overcome the heights of adversity and to maintain resilience when challenges arise. The obstacle is the way.
What are you thankful for this year, this season, today?
