I can’t believe I didn’t find this place sooner! Tucked away near Fenway, this little museum houses the art collected by Isabella Stewart Gardner. Living in the 1800’s she spent over three decades collecting art from all over the world. In 1903, she finished the Fenway Court in Boston and opened it to the public to allow access to these important works of art. The museum contains mixed paintings, furniture, textiles, and objects from different cultures and periods, among well-known European paintings and sculptures.
Obviously the main attraction for me is the garden. For $15 I can transport myself from Boston’s cold winter to this Venetian Palace. Don’t be surprised if you find me here this season.
PS – Go there on your birthday – It’s free!
