Okay, so this was my first attempt at city long-exposure photography. I was out chasing the super moon, but unfortunately didn’t catch it that night do to the clouds. Around 4 pm along the Charles, I experimented with the city lights and definitely have a lot more to learn.

The first shot above was taken at sun down, which gave it the nice blue hue, opposed to the dark grey/black like the ones below. Using a tri-pod, I shot this at 15 sec at f5/6, ISO 100, 70 mm. I don’t know much about night photography, so I would love if someone could give me any advice to improve! :)

(15 sec at f/7.1, ISO 100, 70 mm)

(6 sec at f/4.0, ISO 100, 39 mm)

(30 sec at f/9.0, ISO 100, 70 mm)

(6 sec at f/11.0, ISO 100, 70 mm)

Spread the love
